Every couple of weeks I take a break from the regular sex and violence that passes for writing at this site and once more check in on the gentle folk who think it's neat to be slaves. As usual I am appalled by what passes for writing. Is it something you people drink or take in lieu of drugs? From the opening fragment of words to the final whimpering excuse for an ending there is nothing but blatant ignorance of the rules that allow people to communicate in a very formal and disciplined sense. That is why writing is called an art form. This is claptrap! It meets every definition of the word. It is also average in the extreme, pretentious, lacks even a scintilla of originality and features a character who bores me to tears. Other than that I have no problem with this excerpt from the author's "novel". Just so you don't take this personal like most of your artsy ilk, this was a random act of kindness, and I hope you appreciated it. It also has no connection to the review by the numbers scheme that seems to be becoming de rigueur on this site. (2/10)
