some decent sex and very descriptive in places but it lacks originality. (4/10)

fabulously hot... thank you for the pleasure. (9/10)

Thank you for the praise. I hope you enjoy the entire story.

Technically this story is terrific. The language is both correct and colorful. One hardly finds a comma out of place. A lot of the dialogue is as good as anything I've seen here. The story codes -- voyeurism, heavy, n/c, torture -- are right up my alley.
So why am I not enjoying it more? Why am I reading it rather dutifully, out of respect for a fine offering by a fine writer, than with passion? Why doesn't it get me firing on all cylinders?
I think it begins with the fact that neither Summer nor Geoffrey is described very fully in the first chapter. I don't think we know what country they hail from, nor much about what they look like -- except that Summer's breasts are on the small side, and that her body is well-toned. (Angelita, by contrast, is described much more fully in Chapter 2). In the flashback in Chapter 5, we get some more details, but by then, I'd kind of lost interest in Summer as an object of gratification. Partly because after I got a better idea of what she looks like, I decided that she wasn't really "my type", and partly because she consents to Geoffrey's mastery, -- and that's a bit of a spoiler for me.
The villains in Las Brisas are much more interesting, IMO, than the tourists. I would add, too, that I thought that the passages describing the journey and the history of Las Brisas in Chapters 4 and 5 were just great. And Angelita and Cassandra are nice creations, and the male Las Brisans are suitably nasty.
If only Summer had a little more spring ... (9/10)

Ah, if a "duty read" is worthy of a 9, then that is exceptional praise indeed. Thank you Boccaccio, your coments are appreciated.

Based on the first 5 chapters, I've enjoyed the story and the detail. I look forward to reading more. (9/10)

It's good so far, but clinical. I like twists and turns. And I don't feel invested in Summer. I'm thinking this is a soft start that gets better and better, so, bring on the rest, Jinn! (8/10)

Thank you for your comments. The path on which our heroine has embarked is not a straight thoroughfare, nor is it paved. I hope you enjoy the rest of the tale. Incidentally, if you like twists and turns, try some of my other stories posted on this site.

Seems as if the codes are wrong on this story (9/10)

No they're not. There are twenty chapters to the complete novel. Now, what did you like/didn't like about what you have read so far?

Now this review is based only on part 1. I am saving part 2 for a dark and stormy night when I have a glass of good, dark, alcoholic beverage in hand. A dark night in the cold of winter.
I was going to give a nine. But as I sat here I thought, if you are going to give a nine you have to say what was defficient with the story and how could it be improved. And I can't. I would have preferred a longer lead in but then I suspect I would have been over-ruled by 90% of the readership, maybe 95%. There was one variant spelling that I wouldn't have used, but it is a variant. How could have I improved it. Can't say. So a ten it has to be.
The big question is why out of nearly six thousand readers hasn't anybody else reviewed it. I suspect that they are too intimidated. Who can suggest a way to do this story better. If not, give it a ten. (10/10)

Heady praise indeed. Thank you.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the novel as much!
